Creating a new start up company involves a ton of different bits and pieces. One of the most important pieces is to build a productive and efficient team. CEO and founder of Senrio, Stephen Ridley, has been working extremely hard to do exactly that. This can be seen in one of his newest finds and hires, Daniel Wachdorf. Daniel is the Vice President of Product on the Senrio team, coming to the team from CarbonBlack. The Internet of Things (IoT) is the next big horizon and brings on many new challenges. Over the past ten years, the security world has matured and evolved. Connecting all these different devices like cars, cellphones, homes, conferencing, and much more is definitely not an easy problem to solve. IoT is uncharted territory that not only has a market, but also an extreme demand. Daniel was intrigued with the new and interesting approach that Senrio takes to help solve these different IoT problems, recognizing the potential of the company instantly. He knew he didn’t want to miss the opportunity. He saw that Senrio had a unique and innovative solution for the market. | Daniel Wachdorf, Vice President of Product |
He has had many years of experience as a security expert, and has worked various different government contracts. He also worked in commercial sector working as an Architect at CarbonBlack. He helped by working on the team that took CarbonBlack from a handful of customers to a sector-leading product. He soon began to miss the small team environment and "build it from scratch" mentality. He decided to join the Senrio team because of the tools and core capabilities that they have to offer. He also enjoys the big impacts and collaborative atmosphere that the team brings. He particularly enjoys the efficiency that a small highly technical team has for getting things done to meet customer need.
His competence and high knowledge of scalable systems is what caught the attention of Stephen Ridley. Stephen knew he would help focus development more on customer needs. Stephen interested Daniel with his awareness of IoT and the way Senrio was going to help it become more of a reality. With Daniel Wachdorf joining the team, Senrio is sure to help solve tomorrow's IoT problems, today.
